About Eclipse Solar of Delaware

Eclipse Solar is a family business. So for us, your project is more than an installation, it's another personal family contribution to a better world.

The formation of Eclipse Solar was almost inevitable. Eclipse Solar is the second family business to be formed under the successful partnership of Len and Fiona Fry and their sons Michael and Anthony Lockwood. Prior to Eclipse Solar, they had developed a successful commercial office furniture company called Signature Systems. Looking for something new, Michael began working in the solar power field and got the former partners excited about its potential.

"We were looking for a business that would have a positive impact on our world," says Fiona. Len and Fiona have both been strong natural health proponents for many years, and Len is an electrical engineer who spent most of his career in the energy field. Combining their customer service and project management skills from Signature Systems with a commitment to healthy living and "green" electrical energy seemed to be a natural evolution for their next venture. Eclipse Solar was born.

Collectively, this team has over 80 years of experience in the sales and service industries, so we know how to deliver quality installations, on time and on budget. We know that our customers aren't just looking for an installer, they're looking for a company that they can rely on over the years to be there if any problems should occur. We are that company. Eclipse Solar Management Team

Fiona Fry
Fiona is responsible for new business development for Eclipse Solar. Improving people's lives has always been a passion for her, and she is excited about making a difference in our environment. With her husband, Len, she has owned three successful business ventures, one in the natural health field. Fiona is a member of numerous networking organizations and has been described as "the person to meet." She is a "connector" and loves helping people achieve their business goals. Fiona is involved in local and national organizations such as National Association of Women Business Owners, where she was voted Business Woman of the Year for the State of Delaware.

Len Fry
Len brings 40 years of energy engineering and practical knowledge to the company. His experience and understanding of today's issues surrounding solar energy ensures that Eclipse Solar will deliver the highest quality, most cost effective solution for your particular needs. Len has worked in the energy field most of his life. During the Vietnam era, he was a nuclear operator in the Submarine Service of the US Navy, and then worked for a public utility company in various operations and management positions over a period of 17 years. This included managing the staff and technical areas at a large nuclear generating station. Len has also owned two other businesses where he learned that the secret of success is providing customer satisfaction.

Michael Lockwood
Michael designs PV systems and handles business development and sales. Prior to working with PV systems, Michael spent 20 years in sales and marketing in the commercial office furniture industry. He holds a certification in Solar Systems Design and Installation from Solar Energy International and has three years experience installing Photovoltaic (PV) systems. He has worked with many residential and commercial clients, designing PV systems to their specific needs and expectations.

Anthony Lockwood
Anthony is a certified Solar Energy Specialist, receiving his certification through Solar Energy International. He also has experience as an appraiser in the real estate industry, coupled with 20 years of project management skills in other commercial industries. This gives him a unique understanding of end-to-end project management when it comes to solar installations. He is a stickler for detail, and makes it his top priority to make sure your project is installed as planned, with results that exceed your expectations.
