Solar Power Installation Incentives
Solar energy is good, clean, "green" energy for our environment. It eases the burden on our electrical infrastructure during hours of peak demand, and contributes to energy independence for our nation. For these reasons, the federal government and state and local governments have put into place many incentives for homes and businesses to convert to solar power including:
- Income tax deductions, exclusions and credits
- Accelerated depreciation options
- Property tax credits and exemptions
- Grants, loans and rebates
- Favorable excess power utility buy-back structures
- "Green" energy credits (REC)s that you can sell on the wholesale electricity market
Taken together, these incentives transform solar power into a smart, cost-saving strategy for almost everyone, and the many guaranteed loan programs make residential and commercial solar energy financing widely available allowing you to leverage your investment.
Making Sure You Take Advantage of Every Available Financial Incentive
With so many programs out there, how do you figure out which ones are right for you? You don't have to, because Eclipse Solar will do it for you. Because we know incentive programs often make the difference in a successful installation, we keep up to date on all of the available programs and financial strategies. We will:
- Advise your accountant of tax incentives available to you in your local area
- File your grant applications
- Provide cost savings and pay back schedules to you and your lenders
As soon as you've been approved, we'll let you know we're ready to begin.
After you system installation is complete, we'll register and sell your Renewable Energy Credits (REC)s for you. All you have to do is sit back and collect the checks.
